Although the part has a rather high Rds(on), the gate charge is incredibly low, which should give an excellent roll-off point more than a few decades above the IXYS parts.

But as the part just comes in a small signal package (TO-92), you can beef it up with, for example, a p-channel enhancement mode MOSFET as shown in the pic. A PNP BJT is also another choice.
